Materuni & Kikuletwa Day Trip: Waterfalls & Warm Springs

Begin your day as we depart from Arusha in a private vehicle heading toward the lush slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Our first stop is Materuni Village, home to the picturesque Materuni Waterfalls. Accompanied by a local guide, you'll enjoy a short but scenic hike through banana and coffee farms to reach the falls, where you can take in the cool mist and stunning views. Afterward, immerse yourself in Chagga culture with a hands-on coffee-making experience—roasting, grinding, and brewing your own cup using traditional methods—followed by a hearty Chagga lunch prepared by the village community.

In the afternoon, we drive through the countryside to Kikuletwa Hot Springs, an oasis of crystal-clear turquoise waters surrounded by fig trees. It’s the perfect place to relax, swim, and soak in the warm, natural spring waters. As the sun begins to set, we head back to Arusha, ending the day with unforgettable memories of nature, culture, and adventure—all made seamless and comfortable
